Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ReceptAI. Please read them — they affect your rights and our responsibilities. We've kept the language plain. If you sign up for ReceptAI, you accept these terms.

1. What ReceptAI does

ReceptAI is a software service that automatically answers WhatsApp messages on behalf of your salon, books appointments, sends reminders, and follows up with review requests. You provide your WhatsApp Business connection (via Meta WhatsApp Cloud API), your salon details, and your services. We run the bot on your behalf.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter agreements for your salon.
• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials safe. If someone signs in as you and does damage, that's on you.
• One account per salon, please. If you operate multiple salons, you need a subscription for each.

3. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use ReceptAI to:

• Send spam, unsolicited marketing, or any message that violates Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy or Commerce Policy.
• Sell prohibited products or services (firearms, drugs, regulated goods, etc.).
• Impersonate a different business, mislead customers about who they're talking to, or commit fraud.
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell our software.
• Attempt to break into our systems or interfere with other customers' use of the service.

If you violate Meta's WhatsApp policies, Meta can block your number — that's outside our control. We can also suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you're violating these rules.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

• Free trial: All plans start with a 7-day free trial. No credit card required.
• Plans: Starter ₹1,999 / Growth ₹3,999 / Pro ₹6,999 per month. Prices are exclusive of GST, which we add at the prevailing rate.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions auto-renew every month using the payment method you set up via Razorpay. We charge on the same day each month until you cancel.
• Cancellation: You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Your bot continues working until the end of the paid period.
• Refunds: We don't refund partial months. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of your current billing period.
• Failed payments: If a payment fails, your bot continues running for 3 days while we retry. After that, the bot pauses until you update payment.
• Price changes: We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers stay on their current price until the next renewal after the change takes effect.

5. Ownership

Your stuff stays yours. Your salon data, your customer list, your conversation history — all of it belongs to you. You can export it any time by emailing us.

Our stuff stays ours. The ReceptAI software, brand, AI prompts, and dashboard design are our property. You get a non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use them while your subscription is active.

6. AI replies — important disclaimer

ReceptAI uses an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to generate replies. AI can occasionally make mistakes — say something wrong, misunderstand a customer, or book the wrong slot. Your responsibility:

• Review the dashboard regularly. The Conversations and Bookings screens show you everything the bot is doing.
• Step in manually when the bot is wrong. Owner-mode WhatsApp commands let you cancel bookings, block slots, or take over.
• Train the bot via your Settings (services, hours, system prompt). Garbage in, garbage out.

We make no warranty that the bot will be 100% accurate, available 100% of the time, or never misunderstand a customer. We do commit to fixing critical bugs promptly and notifying you of outages.

7. Third-party services

ReceptAI depends on services we don't operate: Meta WhatsApp Cloud API, Anthropic Claude, Razorpay, Supabase, Vercel, Railway. If one of these goes down or terminates your account on their side, ReceptAI's functionality will be affected — and that's not something we can compensate you for beyond a service credit for the affected days.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by Indian law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of ReceptAI is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — lost profits, lost bookings, damage to your reputation — even if we knew they were possible.

9. Indemnification

If a third party (your customer, a regulator, Meta, etc.) brings a claim against us because of how you used ReceptAI — for example, you used the bot to send messages that violated WhatsApp's policies — you agree to defend us against that claim and reimburse our reasonable legal costs.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if your payment fails for more than 14 days, or if we're required to by law. We'll usually give you notice unless there's a serious safety or legal reason not to.

You can terminate your account any time by cancelling your subscription and emailing us to request data deletion.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll email you at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of ReceptAI will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. We encourage you to reach out to us first — most issues are resolvable over WhatsApp or email.
